With her first novel, Shifted, an Amazon bestseller, Emily Kathryn is an up-and-coming romance author. Before she published her first book, she reached out to me for a cover design, and I jumped at the opportunity!

First, the cover illustration needed to be as mysterious and romantic as the story inside. Second, it had to be evident that these characters had chemistry while still portraying that classic enemies-to-lovers trope.

The challenge I faced with this project was bringing somebody else's characters to life and staying true to the author's vision. With help from character descriptions and Emily's feedback, it was such an honour to help bring her debut book to fruition!
